Maureen Denise McCormick was born on 5 August 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her father taught in the school system and her mother was a stay at home mom. Michael Dennis Kevin, her two brothers older. McCormick was a talented singer and performer from the age of 6. She would put on shows with puppets for the neighbors. Her fairytale rise to fame began when she was crowned her first Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest in the age group of 6. This led to being contacted by talent agent Pat Domigan of the Jack Wormser Agency and asked her if she would like to be in show business. McCormick was offered her first major role when she got a part in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. That same year, she was featured in another television commercial for Chatty-Cathy's doll. The following year, McCormick was cast at La Jolla Playhouse to play the part of the character Wind It up before It breaks. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was one of 1200 children for the part of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared the same family as a blended one. The show lasted for five years. McCormick wrote in her book Heres the Story Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice Published in 2008, McCormick revealed how during the 5th season of the TV show, she nearly lost her virginity with her twin brother Barry Williams. In 2008, McCormick revealed in her book, Here's the story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice, that during season five of the show, she was close to losing her virginity to Barry Williams. It was a time that would have not been ideal for us, she told me.
